Escrow Billing
When there is a mortgage on the property insured, there may be an escrow account established by the mortgagee from which real estate taxes and insurance are paid. Midstate will forward a bill to the escrow account for payment, which is usually done on an annual basis, rather than by payment plan.
The failure of the escrow account to pay the annual premium on your policy in a timely fashion does not prevent a cancellation notice from being issued. If payment has not been received and a cancellation notice is issued, a copy of the cancellation notice is sent to both you and the escrow account allowing fifteen days to make payment.
You may check the payment status of your bill by contacting us during business hours.
